Birthday wish.
I joked that I wanted to go out to my local watering hole and listening to my friends sing karaoke songs like Ace of Base and Four Non Blondes.
Tonight, on my birthday during a karaoke competition, a woman sang Four Non Blondes’ What’s Up.
Dreams fulfilled!

TV Biggest Guilty Pleasure
Sister Wives.
I find this family fascinating. Not a family choice I would make, but I have an appreciation for their open-mindedness.
On the latest episode, they spoke at a Boston college, and one of the students said, “monogamous married couples have lives, and anyone living alternatively from that has a lifestyle”.
I always like hearing other perspectives from my own.
Going forward
I will only drink hot chocolate with cinnamon on top.

Passive aggressive
This morning my cat took my ponytail holders from my gym bag, ate them and then vomited them with cat food in the middle if my bed.
He reacts with vomit if I’m not home “enough”. I don’t want to be a catlady, but obviously that is his preference.
Take my hand
We’ll make it, I swear.
Last night
I drank over a bottle of wine by myself on a mostly empty stomach. I downloaded the following on iTunes:

Young the Giant- My Body
Then, I watched the French film A Very Long Engagement with my roommate.
Moral of the story
Always, always, ALWAYS put your name on food in the community refrigerator.
Salad
For breakfast, lunch and dinner today makes up for not a single vegetable eaten yesterday.
Or that’s how I’m justifying it.
Go figure
My cat’s weight is significantly dropping as prescribed by the vet since he is no longer able to eat the dog food left for free grazing by my previous roommate.
(I know not all animals need feeding schedules like mine.)

I just wish he was willing to include me in his life like I want to include him in mine.

Casual hang out
I feel like friends don’t hang out anymore. We always have to be going somewhere or doing something.
In my youth, I would go over to a friend’s house or vice versa just to pass the time with each other. Maybe that’s because I wasn’t 21 yet, or we had fewer things to do in Nevada.
Either way, I miss the days of a casual hang out.
Silly
I was so nervous about being ready for the movers this morning that my body naturally woke up at 513 this morning.
Now I’m sitting here alone watching tv. At least I’m ready…

I like when bartenders tell me that if I’d like my drink dirtier to just let them know.
Whirlwind July
My best friend since high school flies in tomorrow for her first trip to Seattle and first trip away from her husband and son.
I am beyond thrilled that she’s visiting. I have so many things I want to show her.
When we got off the phone tonight, we got to say, “See you tomorrow”.
Now, to finish cleaning before her arrival.

Tempting
I’m going to be in a swimsuit on Saturday, so I’m being very strict with my Paleo diet this week.
Unfortunately, there’s leftover cake in the kitchen.
Cold turkey
Saying goodbye is really difficult when the only thing that doesn’t work between the two of you is what you want out of the relationship.
I just want more and deserve better.
As a woman
The only time I’m happy to put the toilet seat down is when I’m the first person to use the bathroom at work.
And now, I’m moving in with a platonic male in a one-bathroom house.

The older I get, the more I realize good hair is your best accessory.
Mondays
By the time Tuesday morning rolls around, I feel like it has to be Wednesday because Monday lasted so long. It’s not the work day so much, but the evening that seems to last forever.
In fact, I can’t believe right now it’s still Monday. Maybe it’s because traffic is lightest on Mondays.
